FLYING HIGH

In fall 2020 Red Bull Media House approached us to create a different kind of teaser to the LAAX Open, a snowboarding event scheduled as a live broadcast on Red Bull TV later in 2021.

The brief was to bring that magical ‘flying feeling’ that snowboarders experience to life. Together with director Michael Haunschmidt we created a storyline that ranges from abstract shots of high performance snowboarding to VFX visualisation of the sports most important technical metrics – such as speed, airtime and landing impact.

Shot on location at the Stubai Prime Park Sessions and featuring the skills of Marcus Kleveland, Katie Omerod and Clemens Millauer, we pulled out all the stops on this production. Highlights included one of the first ever follow cams with a Phantom VEO4K high speed camera, executed by our very own Paddy Graham. After production we coordinated the editing and VFX creation process along with the Red Bull Media House.
